Wolf People - Fain (2013)

Psychedelic Rock outfit I heard about today. Their 2010 album - Steeple - gained a fair amount of praise, but they are new to me. Hopefully it's good.

Listening to this album streaming now. A definite pick-up. Thanks for posting about this.

I kinda liked it a lot in parts, but the vocals are a bit lame.

Anciients - Heart of Oak (2013)
Some riff-heavy stoner metal from Canada. Decent enough stuff but they seem to lack an identity of their own and if this had come out a few years ago it would probably have more purpose. That said, the opening track 'Raise the Sun' is great and there's plenty of other good moments elsewhere. A solid album in it's own right but you can't help feel that you've heard it all before.

Middle Brother - Middle Brother (2011)
Was listening to this at a friend's house one night. They're a supergroup consisting of John McCauley of Deer Tick, Taylor Goldsmith of Dawes and Matt Vasquez of Delta Spirit. There's nothing flashy going on here, just good old folk rock with it's heart on it's sleeve. Their cover of 'Portland' by The Replacements is certainly worth noting.

Went ahead and spent .99 for this:

Honestly, he could easily charge people more for how much is on the OST, but I figured i'd support him since he seems to have an extreme talent in making music for video games.

I've been getting into indie video game soundtracks lately and this is one I've been meaning to pick up. I'm listening to it in full on Youtube right now, but I've been meaning to buy this game and it's on Steam for $5.98 with the soundtrack so I think it's a good deal.

Definitely worth the 6 bucks, i'd say do it. You will find that the game becomes more difficult the more you play it, but it also becomes a lot more fun.
