I just bought College's EP featuring A Real Hero, and it's great. Makes me want to watch Drive every time I hear it.

Steven Wilson - The Raven That Refused to Sing (2013)

There's far more progressive rock on here than his previous few albums, that sounded a little more like Porcupine Tree, but at the end of the day you know what you're going to get from Steven Wilson. That's not really a criticism nor praise, just an observation, but I definitely do find myself growing more anxious that he's just going to start sounding the exact same on everything. He's a talented enough musician that those fears are probably unfounded, but I kind of wish he'd take some time off from making music to just... explore something new, or find a way to reinvent himself like David Bowie constantly does.

six by seven - hindsight is a terrible thing, more of a compilation of out takes but a few gems in there especially 'talkin about' and 'the rest of my life', once a song is over 8 mins long my curiosity is stimulated. lookin forward to new album.

i only now mr wilson from storm corrosion and would like to delve deeper into the porcupine tree catalogue, as an opeth fan where shall i begin?

I'd suggest starting with with In Absentia (2002) and working your way towards the present date. That album really marked the shift from their more spacey progressive rock stuff on the '90's.

Picked up these three on vinyl when I saw the band play last night.

I was wondering how this was going to turn out. I actually haven't listened to any of his solo albums. I'm pretty familiar with Porcupine Tree, and I found myself getting a little bored after awhile. Fear of a Blank Planet was the last one I got really into, but Deadwing is where it's at for me.
