We all complain that Pop music is becoming ever more simplistic and safe and then we have an album like this that sells by the truckload and sounds at least a little original.
I really liked this album. Not as immediately as I liked the first one, but in alot of ways it was much better once I listened to it a few times.

And good call on those album collections Urbs (a few pages back!). There was a few there I wasn't familiar with, so I'll have to check em out.

E.A.R.L - Monas Hieroglyphica (2013)
An enjoyable slab of IDM, this is the second release on Mouse on Mars' new label, Recommended Records. Part of me wonders if they might not be involved themselves, since the artist bio is one of those bullshit stories IDM artists can be known for. Plus there are some sounds not unlike those of MoM - but it's not absolute or anything. Not like Aphex Twin and The Tuss - that's obvious. Whoever it is, I'm liking it.

Not much is known about this creature, it is told that it was born in the woods somewhere in germany. It is connected closely to nature in general and animals especially . There is the ability to speak (the human way) in his neural system but it is buried under thick layers of instincts and life saving mechanisms so its not used that often. The creature is communicating through strange noises, at least for humans they might be strange for the creatures itself and animals they are a perfectly normal way of exchanging information.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Einstürzende Neubauten - 2x4

Pretty awesome live recordings but a little flat in parts. (Industrial/Noise)

Black Pus—Pus Mortem
Side project from the drummer/vocalist of Lightning Bolt, that basically sounds like a cross between Lightning Bolt and Cabaret Voltaire to me. Really digging this on first listen. Here's the first track:

A few songs from this album have showed up in my Spotify playlists, and I've been pleasantly surprised with each one. I'm really considering downloading the whole album.

Bon Iver - Bon Iver, Bon Iver

Listened to this in 6th period, now I'm listening to it again. I love revisiting fantastic albums.

Although doubling their name for the album title really strikes me as odd, and lame.

Fitting, isn't it?

I recently discovered Bon Iver, and I'm somewhat obsessed. I really can't stop listening to them.

Second time giving it a go. I really liked it the first time. This kids apparently young making trippy, catchy, intricate electronica. I dig
