Got some records while I was out getting a new turntable.

It took my far longer to track down a copy of Hot Rats than I expected, but it finally happened. Got a Herbie Hancock album, been getting a lot of those lately, and a copy of Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of War of the Worlds to replace my old worn and scratched up copy. I love that album, even if it's a tad cheesy.

Listened to: Ultravox - The Collection. Although I'm more of a fan of the John Foxx years, the Midge Ure era hits were songs I grew up with making it a fine (if not ultimate) test drive for the new headphones. More in an 80's mood, I also heard Arcadia's So Red the Rose as the production on some of the songs is great, especially the lead off track and single "Election Day."

Maruosa—Exercise and Hell
Some crazy ass abrasive wall-of-noise speedcore shit from Japan. Loving it. Here's a little sample:

Took me a little while to get into this one, but it's grown on me a lot since it's release. I listened to it again today and found I enjoyed it a lot.

Dads - Man of Leisure

An okay indie rock album. Not much else to say about it. I was actually looking for another band called Dads, who released an indie/emo album last year called American Radass which I need to check out.

Mary Halvorson Quintet - Burning Bridges

Currently listening to this. Cool Avant-Garde jazz. Get's pretty rock in points.

Also going to listen to a few Glocca Morra albums later. I really liked Just Married.

Baby Woodrose - Third Eye Surgery (2012)
Pretty good psych rock stuff. Just played it once so far, yesterday, and probably again today.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Last purchased album and a current favorite of mine ANALOG REBELLION's latest album "FULL FRONTAL". I don't have one bad thing to say about this album, there isn't one song I'd want to skip over. My ears just can't seem to get enough of this indie goodness.
