Got an iTunes gift voucher so I might as well make use of the friggin' thing.
Sun Kil Moon - Ghosts Of The Great Highway (2003) I love Red House Painters but for some reason I've never got around to listening to an entire SKM album. And you know what, it's every bit just as good. Low - Things We Lost In The Fire (2001) Having only heard I Could Live In Hope and their Christmas album it would make perfect sense to get this. Jesu - Silver (2006) I've already listened to it a couple of times on Spotify and I love it so much I might as well download the thing. Was at a good price too.

My local used book and music store was having a 20% sale on everything so I popped in there to look around. Ye gods, I found some musical gems! I got all of these for $24!
High On Fire, Death Is This Communion. I've loved this album for a long time, but now I physically own it on CD! It's in great condition. Fantastic thrashy sludge metal. Rise: A Louisville Tribute Kinghorse. The only image for this compilation I could find was itsy bitsy so I just went for this banner instead. Kinghorse was a hardcore and heavy metal band local to Louisville in the late 80's and early 90's. Like most great, unknown punk bands, they released a few 7" and a full length before exploding and burning, never to be seen again. They are INCREDIBLY well known here in Louisville, and looked upon with much love and nostalgia. This is a compilation of Kinghorse covers from some Louisville bands. I got it for just over $2, so even if it sucked, the few songs that are great on it make it worth it. Thankfully, Kinghorse was a great band, and most of these covers are either fantastic or bizarre spins on some good thrashy tunes. I can't find any videos of one of the covers, but here's one of my favorite Kinghorse songs! Speaking of Louisville bands, here's Young Widows, Settle Down City. This is a Louiville band (obviously), which does a fun combo of noise rock, hardcore, and shoegaze-esque stuff. This is their debut album, from 2006, and I've heard a lot of good stuff about it. I've heard their last album, released last year, and really liked it so I have high hopes for this. Howlin' Wolf, The Blues Giant. I got 40 songs from my favorite old blues singer and guitarist for $4. Need I say more? And to finish it all off, I somehow found Zu & Spaceways Inc., Radiale. The most avant garde of avant garde jazz. Two different free jazz bands. Together. On one record. I'm excited. My guess is someone was given this CD unknowingly, hated it, and brought it to my used book and music store to get rid of it. However it ended up there, I am eternally grateful to whoever sold it.
