No idea where i picked this up from but it's pretty good.
He's kind of a cross between Jarvis Cocker, Lawrence from Felt & Neil Hannon from the Divine Comedy with a bit of Scott Walker thrown in..... Only Dutch.

Sounds like I would absolutely love it and hate it in equal measure!

Old school Hip Hop via the live instrumentation route. Decent enough but not mind blowing.

Never heard them before even though I have known about them for years. Pretty damn good. It's the Go - Go's BTW.

Great stuff. Moaning down a microphone at 2 AM has never sounded so good.

Django Django - Django Django

Slowly digging itself into my brain. It's quite infectious after a few listens.

Downloaded a ton of Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O. albums. I don't really have much of an idea of what I'm getting into but my curiosity was sparked so I went for it.

Also I got the 5-LP box set for Little Richard's Specialty Sessions. It's a very nice set, although my copy is pretty beat up.

Great that you liked it. I was pleasantly surprised when it was released as a lot of third albums by bands of the time were very disappointing. To me, a lot of the sharpness was thanks to Jane Weilden (who co-wrote a song with Sparks on that album, "Yes or No").

Heems - Wild Water Kingdom (2012)

I didn't care for Nehru Jackets all that much, but a free mixtape is a free mixtape. I've heard this one is a little more instrumental and relaxed, so I'm hoping I can find something for my "Best of 2012: Electronic" mix that's in the works.

Last whole album I listened to was Bon Iver's s/t. Very interesting record, with at least 3 absolutely stunning songs (Holocene, Calgary and Beth/Rest). I suspect this will be a favourite of mine in the coming years. And to think, I thought Bon Iver was dreadfully boring the first time I checked him/the band out!

Good album, trying to make its way into my top 10 for the year.
