Well, all their albums are good but their 2008 album Idolum is on a different level, followed closely by Lucifer Songs and the collaboration they did with Lento called Supernaturals: Record One.

personally i think their two new albums are their best....both Oro: Opus Primum and Oro: Opus Alter are amazing
honestly this is one of those bands that has done no wrong....and in all honesty i just don't see them ever doing a bad album |

"Hues" by Sam Rivers. This is one of those albums I just can't stop listening to and one of the reasons I got interested in jazz music in the first place. An album of live performances recorded between 1971 & 1973 at different venues, featuring Sam Rivers on sax, flute & piano and featuring bass and drums provided by several different players at the various venues. It comes out swinging, keeps the momentum and doesn't stop until after the last track. A must listen! (IMO) Last edited by Psy-Fi; 11-30-2012 at 10:19 PM. |

Downloaded this last night:
Pretty good album from the start. Moments of brilliance throughout, but the best thing about it are the lyrics. Check it

It's Ian Mackaye (Fugazi, Minor Threat) on vocals and baritone guitar and Amy Farina (The Warmers) on drums and vocals. Never listened to The Warmers but she's fantastic on this record. It's hard to describe this record, but it's unlike any "guitar and drum" band I've heard. Top 10 of the year.
It's not emo, more along the lines of punk, but more of a toned down punk sound. It's interesting. And the lyrics are some of the best I've heard this year.
