Miles Davis, On The Corner. Just bought this used for $6 the other night. I was so, so happy when I saw it. It's really hard to find good used jazz albums around here. In my personal opinion, this is better than Bitches Brew. This is much more ambient and experimental than much of Miles' other fusion work, which is okay in my book.

Downloading Adele's two albums now and will give them a listen. I enjoyed 19 quite a bit but 21 wasn't quite my thing. Let's see if I still think that way.

A classic gem of a soul album from Al Green (thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish.)

A live album from 1967 by the Hungarian jazz guitarist, Gabor Szabo (worth a listen even if just for his version of 'Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds' by The Beatles.)

Haters gonna hate. I bought this on CD back in my pre-teens and still give the thing a spin a couple times a year. Great stuff, early Green Day.

Found Who's Next on vinyl for $7 and couldn't wrap my mind around why I didn't already own it. Killer album.

Toy - Toy (2012)
A decent enough album but nothing spectacular or original. Their brand of scuzzy, psychedelic indie rock has been done many times before by bands like The Horrors and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. Not bad for a debut though.

2:54 - 2:54 (2012)
Many dream-pop bands can create a big, beautiful sound, but very few actually know what to do with it. 2:54 unfortunately aren't one of them, which is frustrating as with a bit of decent songwriting this could have been a very good album.

Wild Nothing - Nocturne (2012)
Wild Nothing on the other hand create an amazing sound and DO know what to do with it. It's an album that has one foot in the classic indie of yesterday yet still sounds completely fresh and modern. It has good songwriting and some great Johnny Marr-style guitar playing. It might not be the best album of the year but it has certainly grabbed my attention.

Really? I love this album because it doesn't quite add up to a cohesive whole so instead of getting stand alone songs, you get so many tracks with great sections which holds my attention a lot more but I can totally understand where you are coming from.

A slightly different kettle of fish but I would like to hear your opinions regarding the album Kill For Love by Chromatics. I think it may be right up your street.
