a 34 track comp of neoclassical and dark ambient for raising money to help support all of the animals affected by Sandy....not bad for a suggested price of $10 and it goes to a cause i enjoy giving to

also out of the 34 bands i've only heard 5....so some new music

Did you ever listen to that Luxuria album bob? Most people I have asked about it don't seem to rate it as highly as myself (near perfection).

And I shall be listening to that album you sent me tomorrow. :-)

Stuck under the umbrella tag of 'indie - folk' this fantastic little gem screams melancholy. Dark and beautiful at the same time. Her voice is hypnotic.

Went to the FYE and took advantage of their Used Disc sale, and oddly enough I found two T-Rex discs that I would not normally find in the area I live in.

Zinc Alloy and the Hidden Riders of Tomorrow - The album that broke the string of Top 10s in the UK which saw a couple of it's tracks find their way onto Light of Love, the Casablanca album in The US which quickly went to the cut-outs that mainly was compiled from Bloan's Zip Gun ("Venus Loon" and "Teenage Dream" among them).

The T. Rex Wax Company Singles A's and B's 1972-77 - Starting off with the last part of Bolanmania with "Telegram Sam" and going all the way to the final real releases from the Dandy in the Underworld era, this is one great way to know about the later stages of Bolin's world.

Plus, I had to get The best of Iron Butterfly: Light and Heavy to reunite me with a tape I once had. The extended liner notes are a good touch as well (The cassette focused only on what's on the tape). Not the greatest, but they had their moments and even one stand-alone single before the classic In-a-Gadda/Ball line-up split.

The Starving While Living EP by Car Seat Headrest. Came out a day or two ago, neat sound overall.
