Mission of Burma - Vs.
Pere Ubu - New Picnic Time Trim - Soulfood Vol.3 Need more time with Vs. New Picnic Time is sublime, and has nothing to do with picnics. Picks up where Dub Housing left off. the Soulfood instalments represent the some of the only genuine experimentation occuring with London's grime scene. Amazing. |

My Primal Scream journey began with an Urban sampler that he upped. I bought this yesterday to get the ball rolling. The son of legendary Afrobeat star Fela Kuti (who happens to be one of my favourite artists) keeps his fathers traditions alive with an album chock full of funky african rythmns and tinged with soul and funk. I have been hunting for his albums for ages. Struck gold!
