Not my favorite Spoon record, but it's by Spoon, so it's solid.

If I happen to really enjoy this album, I give full credit to Mankycaaant. Now I'm listening too... Considered by a lot of people the weakest in Radiohead's discography, I strongly disagree. We all know that goes to The King Of Limbs now.

Listening to it now. I feel it's gonna be a grower.

A bunch of Dollar finds, all playable condition. A number of these I once had on Cassette, but due to obvious reasons (moving or played out) they had to be removed. They have brought a LOT of memories back. Some others were just lucky finds I was interested in having before the chance to own them went away.
Familiar faces - The Who - Odds and Sods/Who's Missing Pete Townshend - All the Beat Cowboys Have Chinese Eyes Genesis - Live Steve Miller Band - Recall the Beginning (The second side's a very good one) Box Tops - Dimensions Three Dog Night - Harmony/Cyan Joe South - Games People Play (RIP - passed away in Sept.) Jefferson Airplane - Volunteers (Quad pressing!) Sonny and Cher - Good Times (Mono Pressing) Lovin' Spoonful - Everything Playing (Mono Pressing) Slade - In Flame/Nobody's Fools Todd Rundgren - Initiation The Tubes - Remote Control Lou Reed - New York (A Radio Station had it, hence the Dollar Price) Greg Khin Band - Khinspiracy (The one with the mega hit "Jeopardy") Soundtrack - Party Party (w/ Elvis Costello, Madness, Bananarama, and others) Just bought it to hear it - Looked Interesting: Gabriel Bondage- Another Trip to Earth - They played around with Prog, but were not fully dedicated from my opinion. The lead off track, "Take it on a Dare" has an ELP-Lite flavor to it, as in it sounded like that they were listening to Brain Salad Surgery. Chicago Band, from what I heard, and the album is on Blue Vinyl! Not bad for a Dollar, though. More Finds: Emerson Lake and Palmer - Welcome Back My Friends to the Show That Never Ends. The Mega 3-LP set. Once had it on tape (hand me down), but it's now heard in it's proper form. Arcadia - So Red the Rose - Had this on Cassette, but I'm determined to have this album for the rest of my life. Last edited by Screen13; 11-03-2012 at 11:25 PM. |

Never listened to Sufjan Stevens in my life, and this record's supposedly a masterstroke.
