I'd love to know if we do since eBay and Amazon don't have some of the albums I'm looking for. |

Lou Reed & Metallica - Lulu Listened to this a few times, and I liken this album to one of my favourite moments in Friends. It's pretty good, even if it doesn't really make sense. |

I've never heard that album yet, but based on all the negative reviews it has gotten, I think I'm better off staying away from it.

Watch theneedledrop's review on youtube. Gives it a 6/10 and explains how this record is not all that awful, and a brilliant troll.

Figured it was about time I checked out this band properly with them basically being Hawkwind's slightly proggier brothers. Only ever heard Camembert Electrique before so I figured I'd start at the beginning. Thought it was quite good considering it's not regarded as one of their best. Checking out Continental Circus next. |
Headed out in the morning to the record store. Got a couple things:

Reunited time!
Blur - The Great Escape (CD, not the recently released ultra cool vinyl) The lesser of the famed "Trilogy," it still plays well for me although I was pretty much into Blur by that time. Today, a good amount of it sounds like it was on Auto Pilot by comparison to what happened next, but "The Universal," "It Could Be You," and "He Thought of Cars" hold up very well. Still, I can go through the whole album as it's still good. The Kick Horns are the ones really holding up the songs in the weaker spots, sometimes giving it that feel that reminds me of something like More Specials (1980). Still, I like it faults and all. Primal Scream - Xtermntr Seriously a great listen after what's been YEARS. A bold Primal's album as well as a great way for Creation Records to say Goodbye. |
