Hanatarah - Hanatarash 3: William Bennet Has No Dick

Bought this at the dollar bin at a record store. Great album, it bulldozes your mind when you're wearing headphones, in a good way. This is the first album of theirs that I've gotten and it's definitely a great place to start for them. Hanatarash is becoming one of my favourite Japanoise groups.

I'm on the lookout! (Streaming may provide me with the tunes, but there's NOTHING like holding the actual vinyl...or even Cassette in this case. It's all about the time for me.). It would be cool to check out the live footage from that time as well.

The more I listen to Dada, the more I seriously like it.

Yeah. Eye from Boredoms.

His famous bulldozer incident was amazing.

Sam's Town - The Killers

Never realized how great this album is.

Great bootleg of Clash rarities. A bit thin on the London Calling, Sandinista & Combat Rock selections.
Still, a must have for any Clash fan!

Oh my goodness, I could go on for days and days about John Mayer's new album! So good! Calming and just brilliant in everyway. I recommend everyone buy that album. Also, new Mumford and Sons. Powerful, emotional and intense!!!!

Opeth - Deliverance

Been getting into Opeth lately, thought I'd start with their most known album. So far, pretty good. Enjoy the melodies as a progressive death metal band, and it's not overdone. The combination of Mikael Åkerfeldt growling and singing tells a wicked yet containing soft chapters to a story. That's all I can say for now.

Isis - In The Absence of Truth

Need a few listens before saying anything. Just glad I found an Isis album around.

The Black Rider by Tom Waits
Very good mix of sounds and, as always, Tom's voice is bang on :) 8/10

Ceremonials - Florence and the Machine

Paedantic Basterd 10-12-2012 10:09 AM

I have had almost no time at all for music, sadly, but here's a small update on what my habits have included.

http://static.rateyourmusic.com/albu...es/s972627.jpg

Cafe Tacvba - Sino: Mexican alternative rock/psychedelic pop album. Selected because I have to listen to music in the Spanish language each week as part of my Spanish course. I was surprised to enjoy this quite a bit.

http://static.rateyourmusic.com/albu...s/s4037833.jpg

Muse - The 2nd Law: I downloaded this purely for the sake of laughter, and was not disappointed in that respect. This album is what happens when you don't have anyone in your life to say "no" to you.

http://static.rateyourmusic.com/albu...s/s4159799.jpg

Of Montreal - Daughter of Cloud: Rarities/unreleased compilation. Some absolutely brilliant stuff on here, interspersed with some okay material. Its primary downfall is that it has 0 flow whatsoever and feels really patchy as a result. It's clear as day which album era each track came out of, and for that it's hard to get into as a whole. Hindlopp Stat though, is a badass ****ing song.

Grizzly Bear - Shields: Solid enough stuff. While I think it's catchier than Yellow House, I also find it less memorable. Some great moments, but I'm dubious as to its lasting value. Plays well in a session with Slave Ambient.

East India Youth - TOTAL STRIFE FOREVER: I think this is going to make my number two spot this year. This is a brilliant combination of ambient/ambient pop/IDM, and if anyone is intrigued, why yes, I do have a legal link to share it with.
