Latest Album I've listened to

There's a new album coming out by a local artist. I've got a few of his other albums but I REALLY want to get his new album ("Africanized") but it looks like he's still raising funds for it on Kickstarter. From that upcoming album he's posted a few videos of the songs.

One is a cover of Michael Jackson's "They Don't Really Care About Us" and another is a cover of One Republic's "Good Life". Since I'm new I can't post links yet, but go to youtube and search "AlexBoyeTV" and look for the Michael Jackson video and the One Republic "Maisha Mazuri"

Tell me what you guys think. If you like it, please support his Kickstarter project. I REALLY want his new album.

The link to the "Breath of Life" video you posted - I've been listening to it for a week straight for hours on end while I work. After watching Snow White and the Hunstmand - I fell in love with that song by Florence & the Machines. What other songs by her should I check out?

new EP and if this is a glimpse of the album coming out in October....i am very happy....these four songs are a bit more stripped down and much more personal and honest than anything he's released before

That's a really cool album cover, what type of music is it?

i guess i would call this album straight neofolk.....this one is very reminiscent of newer Swans and 16 Horsepower/Woven Hand type stuff

The Beatles - Abbey Road (1969)
http://www.feelnumb.com/wp-content/u...lbum_cover.jpg

Why don't I have any Beatles? It's been a recurring question for what seems to be the longest time. Anyways, I decided this evening that the one Beatles album that I'd been the most ignorant of happened to also be the one that seemed to receive the most genuine and knowledgeable praise (ie, not number one on Rolling Stone's top 500 album charts).

I'll confess it really was beautiful from start to finish. The synergy between my Fiio headphone amp/DAC and my Sennheiser studio monitor headphones has a very wide open tube-ish quality that really does a fantastic old recording such as this one all the more justice.

Satchmo, you've never listened to Abbey Road? My gosh, I'm glad you finally fixed that. I don't really listen to the Beatles much any more, but this is by far my favorite album from them. Love it.

Well, I've heard the majority of the album as individual songs most of my life through radio airplay and whatever, but this is, I'm sure, the first time I've ever sat down and attentively listened to Abbey Road as an album. Like I said, it was a great experience. I was pleasantly surprised.
