BLUT AUS NORD - ULTIMA THULEE (1995) I havent had a chance to really give this a go yet. I decided, after getting into the beautiful 777 albums, that I needed to go back through their discography. I'm not expecting as much 'beauty' from this one, or at least of the same kind. That doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing though. Today I just ordered some albums to fill some gaping holes in my collection. Really there is no way I should have gone so long without buying these, given how often I have listened to them. ALCEST - SOUVENIRS D'UN AUTRE MONDE (2007) This was one of the first albums I really fell in love with as a direct result of a recommendation from someone on MB. Credit to Jackhammer. Feels like a long time ago now. ALCEST - ÉSCAILLES DE LUNE (2009) I probably like this one better these days though, I would say. ALCEST - LES VOYAGES DE L'AME (2012) It's not as good as the two full lengths that came before it, but I hope it can at least cease the bitching that seems to go on in relation to Alcest from certain circles of heavy metal fans. They arent black metal. I think this makes it perfectly clear. AGALLOCH - THE MANTLE (2002) Just beautiful. I recently got back into this album all over again after a period of neglect, so I had to buy it. |
