Never been a huge Sinatra fan, but anything by Armstrong is brilliant. The man was ridiculously good, more talent and charisma than most entertainers of his day. His personality definitely helped break down the racial segregation in the music industry of the time. Oh, and his music helped me get into jazz, which is consistently my favorite genre of music, period. Good choices, Scotty.

Katatonia - Dead End Kings (2012) While I was pretty lukewarm on their 2009 album, I'm still willing to spend money on this band's material. If the single off this is any indication, the band is definitely going back to a more alternative metal style, which I'm okay with so long as it's not just derivative of either their older material, or of other band's material. |
