Been meaning to get around to listening to that. How does it compare to The Formation of Damnation?

Better, in fact I'd say that it's better than The Gathering and significantly better than any of their other '90's albums. In fact I'd go so far as to say as it's probably the best album since their first two.

Canned Heat—Future Blues (1970) I’m not always the biggest fan of blues rock but this album is quite good. It’s nice and dirty sounding but with a certain amount of spaciness. There’s quite a bit of variety too, including a very old school jazz track smack dab in the middle of the album. Oh, and Dr. John guests in a couple places, which was an added bonus. |

If it's your first time listening to Corb Lund I'd recommend his 2007 album Horse Soldier, Horse Soldier over this. Cabin Fever has some really great tracks, but it may seem a little disjointed if you're not use to his unique blend of blue collar living, history, loneliness, and humour.
