Adolescents - Adolescents

Apparently a great west-coast Punk band. Excited to hear this.

Regina - Vrijeme je

That was a hard one to get. The band is from Bosnia-Herzegovina. Had to order the album from some shady shop in Serbia. Waited a month or so. Got emails from some guy called Igor and finally when it arrived, it was sent from Romania. Quite suspicious dealings. That Igor seemed a nice feller, though.

Half of all third world shops can be classified as "shady," so I really wouldn't worry about it. I bought an "authentic alligator skin wallet" in Nicaragua. Heckled the owner until I got the price super, super low. Lo and behold, it starts falling apart, and the inside is made of newspaper. Also up for grabs in the same marketplace were Cuban cigars, shot glasses with Obama's face on it, and miniatures of people having sex made from shells.

Daniel Johnston - Hi How Are You: The Unfinished Album

Daniel Johnston - Yip/Jump Music

Our Sunday Affairs - City Of Dogs

Turnover - Turnover

Just a couple pickups, I listened to 3 of them and enjoyed them all very much, I haven't listened to Yip/Jump music yet, but I plan to very soon.

Lotus Plaza - Spooky At A Distance (2012)
The solo project of Deerhunter guitarist Lockett Pundt. Unsurprisingly this isn't a million miles away from Deerhunter, but some songs seem to occupy a space somewhere between Deerhunter and The Radio Dept. A couple of good songs on this album but overall nothing particularly remarkable.

Butthole Surfers - Electriclarryland (1996)
A good, fun album although not as fucked-up and enjoyable as Locust Abortion Technician. This is only my second Butthole Surfers album so I don't know what the rest of their discography is like, but this album has a more straight-forward song-orientated sound which is nice, although not as interesting as the twisted weird-fest that is Locust Abortion Technician.

One of the best from that scene. I love that Adolescents album. Just as much as I do "Living in Darkness" by Agent Orange, and "Mommy's Little Monster" by Social Distortion.

Last album I bought is the new reissue of:

This was always one of my favorites from them. "Soothe" is a song I still listen to. I ripped it in flac and mp3 and listened to it, and sounds great.

Need to listen to the cassette that comes with it still.
