Amerigo Gazaway - Fela Soul

Basically a jazzy remix of some choice De La Soul tracks. Completely diggin' it.

This classic proto-jazz-funk-fusion disc was on sale for $5. The first 6 notes on the opening track are worth five bucks. Anyone close to an HMV should own this now.

Great album! If you like that, you should check out Thrust too.

Absolutely! I'm quite familiar with both I just never owned a copy prior to yesterday morning :tramp:

Headhunters was an at work classic years ago, I'd get my fill by listening to my friend's copy while going through the motions haha

I own Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... on CD, but I just realised that when I listen to it on my computer it doesn't scrobble cause' the tags are f*cked. Decided to download it to give it a fair representation on my last.fm :D

Second to Liquid Swords as my favourite Wu Tang project.

Duga wrote about this in the albums you're digging thread, some of the best hip hop I've heard in 2012.

Still not checked that first one out, and the second looks cool. What style/genre is it?

Oddisee's records pretty good, reminds me a lot of early Lupe Fiasco.

I've just recently got this one
