Dead and Gone - God Loves Everyone But You this is an interesting listen....kind of the despondent feel of Cop Shoot Cop's first releases, mixed with some of the complexity of Neurosis's later releases....and a pinch of classic hardcore.....highly recommended if you like pounding noise rock...this will be added to my list for lengthy review (if i ever get back into that ) Mass Appeal - Jazz i think it was "stp" that posted this in one of the "what are you listening to" threads....this is hands down simple yet great punk rock from down under Dernière Volonté - Mon Meilleur Ennemi amazing....and so nice to see him go back to his wonderful blend of synth pop with thunderous drumming ala "Devant le miroir"....but this one is even more danceable....much like his last release "Immortal" as it concentrates more on synth pop rather than martial styles....just a wonderful and floaty listen Chelsea Wolfe - A Tribute To Rudimentary Peni hmmmm....not exactly sure what i think of this....such a different take on them....interesting and worth listening to quite a few more times.....also i like the fact that she only picked songs from their lesser known recent releases |

Neil Young & Crazy Horse - Americana (2012) It's about goddamn time some interesting country comes out this year. God damn, never before have I felt so deprived of new and interesting things from a genre I love. Here's hoping it'll be as good as Guy Clark's 2009 album Somedays the Song Writes You. Tallest Man on Earth - There's No Leaving Now (2012) Finally, I've been waiting on this leak for awhile now. |
