Prince - 1999
AC/DC - High Voltage (international ver?)
Stetsaphonic - In Full Gear

Some good dollar record deals at the local thrift store. I had never heard any of the albums, but for a buck each I take the risk. In Full Gear was better than I expected.

iamamiwhoami - Kin

electropop with kind of bjork-y vocals with LOVELY synth and reverb that meshes perfectly with the synthpop kick I've been on lately (too many withs in that sentence, deal with it)

new entry to my running "best of 2012" tally for sure

edit: this track isn't very indicative of what the album sounds like as a whole, but it's damn ****ing good

edit edit: don't watch the music video, it's kind of awful

THEESatisfaction - awE naturalE (2012)

From what I've heard this is suppose to be like the R&B version of last year's Black Up by Shabazz Palaces.

Quakers - Quakers (2012)

A 35+ member hip hop project produced by Geoff Barrow (bassist from Portishead)? Colour me intrigued. This song didn't hurt my curiosity either.

Both great albums. Spent a full 10 minutes deciding which one to buy a physical copy of in HMV the other month. Ended up going with Quakers for no real reason, fully aware that I could get the other a week or so later. As it turned out, Cancer For Cure and The Money Store were in the shop in the coming weeks.

I shall get it on my next visit... promise

Well this is certainly interesting. Thanks for posting!

EDIT: Got that, and also got William Basinski - Melancholia

Sounds like "The National Anthem" from Radiohead.
