The Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation - Egor (2012) Didn't even know this came out back in January. Not the most engaging music but it works miracles for writing. The Real McKenzies - Westwinds (2012) Good ol' Celtic punk from my home city with more of a Scottish/ Nova Scotian background. The album is a lot more technically proficient than I was expecting and there are some real standout tracks. Anathema - Weather Systems (2012) Sure the band has practically nothing to do with what it once was, but I still hold up that albums like A Natural Disaster (2003) and Judgement (1999) are their finest works. Even 2010's We're Here Because We're Here I'd rate higher than their early '90's death/doom stuff. If you're a fan of The Mars Volta I definitely would recommend this album. |
