Got these CDs today

Lisa Hannigan - Passenger (2011)
Some of you might know Lisa from her collaborations with Damien Rice. This is her second solo album and while it is fairly enjoyable it doesn't quite hit the spot. There's a certain charm to her songwriting but the album for the most part fails to hold my attention.

Boredoms - Vision Creation Newsun (1999)
What the fuck is going on here? This is a rather interesting psychedelic and experimental album. It's almost as if the band are creating backing music for some kind of cult ritual. What really gets my attention on this album is the insane drumming, provided by not one but three drummers. Fascinating yet deranged stuff.

Mogwai - Come On Die Young (1999)
Haven't listened to this yet but I'll stick it on sometime tomorrow. I've heard quite a bit of their material but I've never listened to a full album of theirs. I can't go wrong with this I guess.

In my opinion, The Hawk is Howling is a better album, but this is still a solid release.

Last album I downloaded.

CD:-

The Best of Chicago - of their jazz years, not the Peter Cetera era, found it in a bargain bin for $1.50

Come On Die Young was the only Mogwai album they had. It was only €1.99 so it was a steal. I might check out their other albums in time.

Just bought Arcade Fire's debut album "The Funeral", well worth the money.
