Once again Loathsome Pete brings my attention to an album that I play over and over and becomes a quick favorite. This time its Machete Vision.

I especially love this song:

The Devil

Default Yellow Magic Orchestra

the album Solid State Survivor from Yellow Magic Orchestra downloaded yesterday. I have been listening to Kraftwerk recently, and wanted to compare the sound out of Japan to the German one.

Amazing what they could do with the equipment available in the late 70s!

I just bought these yesterday

Mississippi John Hurt - Avalon Blues

This album includes all the material from the Okeh Recordings sessions John Hurt recorded in 1928. The recordings were a commercial failure and John Hurt didn't record anything else until he was rediscovered in 1963.
This is a really great album and I just had to buy it since it cost only 9 euros at my local record shop.

Adele - 21

I bought this as a christmas present for my girlfriend

It's a really standout track. It's not even that the other songs are bad, but god damn... there's just something about that one that makes me want to listen to it on repeat.

Live at Leeds is fantastic. I've never been into first person shooters (grew up with a father in the military, so it generally creeps me out) but are the soundtracks that good?

Yeah, I'm loving Live at Leeds, and yeah, the Halo OSTs are pretty great stuff.

Also, I just got this one, too.

Wow! I really do dig that. I'm going to feel like a weirdo for downloading Halo soundtracks without really having played the games, but I'm definitely going to do this.
