I've downloaded a bunch of albums but here is some of the best/most interesting ones:

Sera Cahoone - Only as the Day Is Long

Sera Cahoone was the drummer for Carissa's Wierd (I'm a huge fan of them btw) and she also played drums in Band of Horses. Only as the Day Is Long is her second solo album. I really like this alt.country, folk album. Really lovable vocals and beautiful songs with harmonica, slide guitar and banjo here and there. I've really loved this album and her fellow Carissa's Wierd bandmate Jenn Ghetto's solo stuff but I'm not that huge about Ben Bridwell's Band of Horses or Matt Brooke's The Grand Archives. I quess the girls from Carissa's Wierd just do the stuff better than the guys these days

Here's a song from the album:

Scandinavian Music Group - Manner

SMG is a finnish pop/country/folk band and Manner is their new album released in 2011. I really dig this album and I saw them live this summer and they were great.

King Creosote & Jon Hopkins - Diamond Mine

Really great folk/indie/folktronica/callitwhateveryouwant collaboration album from these guys. I haven't listened to that much music released in 2011 but this is one of my favorites from this year.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD please send me links to albums released this year or give me recommendations to albums released this year since I've been lazy and I've been listening to Dylan, Guthrie, Ochs, Baez and other Folk revival stuff so I haven't had the time to research on what albums there has even been released this year.

Wow I'm late on this album...but it's Beirut, so I'm excited.

Man I should of checked this guy out a lot sooner, this album is the ****. The beats are really original and catchy, and this guy's vocab is insane. My favorite songs are Daylight, No Regrets, The Yes and the Y'all, and 9-5'ers Anthem. Overall a great album and I really wanna get more into this guy's discography.

Probably the best album of the year for me so far, I love **** Your Ethnicity and Ronald Reagan Era the most, and the rest of the songs are almost as good.

Although this is my favorite Aesop album, two other standouts are "Float" and "None Shall Pass".
Also, if you like Slug and Murs, and want to hear Aesop's production skills, Felt 3: A Tribute To Rosie Perez.
