Been picking up a lot of occult prog. lately, with the discography of Antonius Rex being the main focus.

Wow. The last album I purchased was "In Rainbows" by Radiohead. I seen a performance from these guys on New Years Eve on one of those obscure music channels. They performed the entire album and that was it for me. SOLD.

Although I haven't listened to this yet, I love Blind Willie so I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

Swarrrm—Nise Kyûseishu Domo
Noisy Japanese grind with surprisingly melodic segments thrown in for good measure. Definitely enjoying it so far.

Hayaino Daisuki—Headbanger's Karaoke Club Dangerous Fire (top) & The Invincible Gate Mind of the Infernal Fire Hell, or Did You Mean Hawaii Daisuki? (bottom)
Two thrashy EPs from Discordance Axis and Gridlink singer Jon Chang's side project Hayaino Daisuki. Both are raw and very high energy, but Headbanger's Karaoke Club Dangerous Fire has especially noisy production that almost makes it sound like the whole thing was recorded live on one mic. I'm still up in the air on whether that's a good thing or not.

I have to ask CanwllCorfe: do you deliberately always make sure the youtube vids you post show the album cover? I noticed they always match. It's very neat. I like it.

Also, I would like to know how you go from listening to NWA to Antony and the Johnsons...that's some randomness right there.

Wow. Just listened to the "Slash Your Face" EP and now listening to this one. Great proto-punk band for fans of MC5 or The Stooges. If you like them, and by chance do not know this one.. get on it right away!

not much I could find on em except this:
The Dogs

Got a Gift of Gab, Lyrics Born, and Lateef live CD at one of their San Francisco shows. It's fairly unique, not something I could have found on the internet (I hadn't seen it anywhere).

Gruff's solo stuff is a million times better then the tired old crap the Super Furry Animals have chucking out for the last decade.
