The Field Mice - Snowball + Singles A combination of the band's 1989 mini-album Snowball and some early singles. I'm loving this; simple, sweet jangly indie-pop the way it should be done, with some great catchy songs that make you feel warm inside and plenty of dynamic to prevent it from being one-paced. Listening to this I'm getting a good idea of where bands like Belle and Sebastian, The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart and The Radio Dept. drew a lot of their influences from. This shall be my new musical friend for a while.

Bought:
Earache Records Webstore Despite the awful title, it's a good way for me to listen to a few new Metal bands and hear some older bands that I have missed out on. I remember when this label first started and glad it is still operating independently after over 20 years. A rarity over here. New edition with 3 extra tracks. Sure they are at the commercial end of DnB but there is enough genre variety to warrant a purchase. Both albums a fiver each. Downloaded: But of course
