Now that is a shitty album, and I'm a huge Patton fan. :p: To be fair though, I haven't listened to it in probably 6-7 years.

Well I've been wanting to listen to Merzbow sometime, and I'm a big Patton fan as well so it seemed like an obvious choice. I'm honestly not expecting anything really great from it, but I love Mike Patton and wanting to check out everything he's done. My friend who gave it to me said it was ok, but some of the noises on it are high pitched and somewhat annoying. She tends to have similar tastes to mine, so I might find a bit of enjoyment at least.

Last album I bought was Green Day - 21st Century Breakdown.

Hell yes.

I love this, their last release as 'The Management'... wasn't it just supposed to be a demo that leaked? I don't know. I like Oracular Spectacular better though :)

Dillinger without any of their pop vibes. It's intense and aggressive, and I'm glad I heard it.

Yeah it wasn't supposed ot be released as an album. I like Oracular better too, but Climbing has a lot more groove to it, but also more indie, and it's really cool to see how they progressed from album to album. It makes me even more impatient for their next album, Congratulations.

Urban Hat€monger ? 06-15-2009 08:02 PM

I Against I is alright but I think it suffers from a bit too much 80s sounding guitar wanking in it.

yeah, i noticed that they lost a bit of their edge too, but idk, just something about the songs on there appealed more to me than Bad Brains did.

i guess cause it was a bit more refined than before and less......slapped together i guess?

Urban Hat€monger ? 06-15-2009 08:07 PM

There's a live album from that era called The Youth Are Getting Restless.

The songs from I Against I sound fucking phenomenal on that album.

Its really good if your listening to while your not doing anything that would distract you from it. I love when just laying down in bed listening to it but not as much while h.w or on the computer.

A lot like digable planets but in my opinion better. a couple very very good track and much more interesting cause it rapped in french.
