I sort of wondered if that's what you were thinking.
It's not so much of a band, neither is king tubby. They are well.. Dubbers, I guess? They remix music. The original idea back in the day was that they remixed a song. The remix was played in a local dancehall and if the audience responded well, the song would be made into a hit. Sometimes the difference is tiny. Compare the song above to the original: Or, another example: And here is Lee Perry's dub You might want to check out on lee perry as well I made this video of my Lee Perry 10" a couple of years ago. Something went completely wrong with the audio so I should make another one some time Could do that right now...

Parts & Labor - Constant Future
This one just got here today, I'm loving it so far. Not quite as chaotic as their earlier releases, but it still packs quite a punch. They're almost reaching for a poppier sound I guess, it kind of reminds me of some of those bands like Le Loup, but not folksy and still with plenty of noisy moments and very good so far. |

The Mountain Goats - All Eternals Deck
I tried so hard to wait until it was released, but I couldn't wait anymore, I'm seeing them on April 2nd too, so this is a good album to get me excited.

Lovely fucked up electro industrial complete with serial killer interview samples, weird ass beats and creepy paranoia. Aphex Twin meets Ministry in a seedy nightclub at 3 am and they both jump on the decks. Many thanks for the rec from clutnuckle via RYM for this. Kreator inspired brutal scratchy thrash.
