I have listened to all of these bands on youtube and myspace and they all were interesting to me. So I'm really curious what I will think of their albums :).
I have one GY!BE album on a tape, copied it from my ex-girlfriend. I recorded all her records when she moved out. Haven't really listened to it so far. |

Pre ordered the re release 180g Vinyl Blackfield 1 - arrived the other day, the vinyl quality is awesome the silence between tracks is sooooo dead.

Ah, always nice to have a record that's cut properly.
I hate it when they make 180g releases that still sound like crap |
Wanted to try something different, and didn't have any Marley in my itunes :)

Get the "Exodus" album.
Altough I must say there's much better reggae than marley. Don't get me wrong, I have all his albums, but there definitely is better reggae :) |
Tom Verlaine - Dreamtime (1981)

Idaho - Hearts Of Palm A fantastic album of emotional and heart-wrenching songs. I'll be listening to this all weekend probably. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_K2esD1Ixp8...20/rhp22ec.jpg Red House Painters - Red House Painters (Rollercoaster) A sprawling 75-minute album that sucks you into a black hole of depression and despair. Despite a couple of bum notes this is a really beautiful collection of songs to wallow in. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_7T3p0ujOzG...formation.jpeg Air Formation - Daylight Storms I'm enjoying this. Although there's nothing really original going on here there's some really gorgeous sonic textures and melancholic songs. Solid stuff. |
