It's just too much not to filter .

And I do like screaming, but for me it's back street boy music with a lot of screaming most of the time. It's a bit too shallow, often.
And as far as rap, hip-hop and dance is concerned; It's too repetitive for me. Which is strange, as I like dub. But it has a certain groove. I don't know. It somehow really annoys me. A lot of hip-hop sounds really agressive, a lot of R&B is just a screaming mess of female vocal variations. But feel free to prove me wrong. I don't mind admitting I like something.
as soon as i read the bolded parts, I'm like yeaaah time to prove you wrong and share with you some that you might like. I will come up with some albums for you to check out and put them in the sharing thread and also send you a message.

Please do so .
The closest to hip hop you will find in my record cabinet is probably this:

And I do realise this is more ska and reggae, but it's the closest I get.
I don't like soul either by the way. I'm not sure what it is about soul that I don't like.
But I really really don't. Might help you in your quest to find the right hiphop.
Please be warned: No matter how hard you try, chances are I just won't like it without being able to explain why. Don't get angry over that

Please do. I'm really not narrow minded about this. It's just that I've never heard anything I liked in that genre before.

The New & Very Welcome - This Changes Everything

This sounds so nice, really pretty vocals and a kind of dreamy pop feel (not dream pop, but still) a great find!

Rummaging through a few boxes of LPs at a local record store resulted in me getting this, for 8 dollars. A very interesting recording of, yeah, ceremonial and folk music from, yeah, Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda, released sometime in the early 70s. I've been sort of obsessed with tracing the route of African music from the Old World to the New and this was an interesting piece to the puzzle. I would like to find more recordings of traditional music from Western Africa, though. For some reason that always seems to be harder to find for me.

Downloaded this few days ago. Really great bootleg since they mostly play their new songs. I'm in love with their new drone stuff. Can't wait much longer for Tunnel Blanket to come out.
