It occurred to me recently that I don't really have a lot of music from New Zealand at all, so...

The Clean - Anthology
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...500_AA300_.jpg

^Some 80s jangly indie stuff. The instrumental backing sounds pretty decent, but fuck me are those vocals irritating!

The Dead C - White House

^And some lo-fi/noise kinda stuff.

I've heard nowt but good things about it. I don't usually listen to noise-rock, but I'll have a lot of free time on my hands for about the next month, so I may as well try branching out a little.

and this is why I still love music. You find an album from 35 years ago that you should have heard 25 years ago and find a gem. There is still so much music to find, it's never ending.

In case you are wondering it's Prog Rock with a little bit of Electronica and some fantastic guitar work thrown in. Reminds me of Hawkwind at their most chilled and I'm a Gong fan too. Shame on me (Steve Hillage was a member of Gong).

^ That's a good one. I assume you've heard Khan 's Space Shanty also? An excellent prog album featuring Steve Hillage and a few other well-known players in the Canterbury Scene.

Linda Martini - Olhos de mongol (thank you Unchained Ballad)

Šarlo Akrobata - Bistriji ili tuplji čovek biva kad... (thank you dankrsta)

Ambulance LTD - Ambulance LTD (I've been meaning to check this out for a long time)

The Bamboos - 4

I'm bringing back some lovely memories of the 90s with Eleventeen by Daisy Chainsaw. I had forgotten how much I love this album.

^^^ You're only a stones throw away from the Huggy Bear albums.

That is an utterly amazing album. "Lovely Ugly Brutal World" is probably my favorite track. The part that begins with her saying "I wear a nice blue hat just to keep in with the swing of things" and ends with her shrieking like a rabid dog has to be one of the most pants-shittingly awesome moments in 90s music.

Yeah, how could I have forgotten KatieJane? Do you know anything about her later music? I haven't listened to anything besides Daisy Chainsaw.

I have one Queen Adreena album, Taxidermy. It's decent but not nearly as good as Daisy Chainsaw.
