One of my college friends raves about this album, so I finally picked it up.

I'm also doing the reverse music buying thing now. Instead of buying mainly MP3s, I'm opting for physical copies (CD or vinyl in a few cases). Call me weird, but I've finally had it and am not paying for ****ty sound quality for close to CD prices.

I'm on my 3rd listen of this album since I got it about 3 hours ago, it's so amazing. Folk pop with punk influences and Pat the Bunny!

I just downloaded these two:

Sleep Party People - Sleep Party People

Michael Jordan Touchdown Pass - Cash, Money, etc.

Decided to give this a listen after listening to the song Charlemagne posted in the song-review thread.

The song I posted on the song-review thread isn't from that album, but it is an outstanding album and I hope you enjoy it!

The Candles Burning Blue - Pearls Given to the Swine (2001)

I first heard this band many years ago on an excellent radio show that aired all kinds of gothic music, ethereal, dark ambient, apocalyptic folk etc. I almost forgot about them until my brother reminded me recently and so I thought I should get an album. It's actually a short lived Finnish band and this is their only proper album as I understand. The song 'How The Black Art Was Revealed' (the one I heard previously) is definitely the best, very atmospheric. The rest of the album gives off an old school gothic rock feel reminiscent of Christian Death especially, but sometimes of The Cure also. All in all, not bad, but I must say I expected more.
