Foot Ox- ooo
Seeing if this will be a late edition to my year end list, love Foot Ox though so it should be.

Mordant Music- Symptons. Tagged as IDM/Industrial at RYM. Have any of them actually listened to this? It's nothing of the sort. Instead it's an ambient album with a touch of Underworld at their subliminal best. This is a real grower and not just one of those albums that sits there to chill you out for the sake of it. There is a lot going on here. More classy NZ Dub/Funk/Soul/Rock Not heard this yet but the tag of one of Krautrock's long lost gems is enough for me. The Ska master. Nuff said.

Iji - In Celebration Charlemagne posted something about this album and I really liked the album cover so I decided to listen to it. I've listened to it a couple of times now and I really like it. Woods - Songs of Shame Downloaded this but I haven't listened to it that much yet. I also downloaded two recent post-rock bootlegs from GY!BE and Her Name is Calla. Both sounded really great and I'm now even more bumped up about seeing GY!BE next month. |

Fow could I forget about this album!! :O
French Films - Golden Sea EP Quite a new indie band from Finland. Sounds a little like The Drums but better in my opinion. Also it's great to listen to this stuff since there isn't that many bands that play this kind of music coming from Finland (Finland is infested with bad mediocre metal bands) They are playing in my hometown soon so I'm going to see them live which is always a good thing. I just hope they're good live. |
