the first one is 8-bit-game-music-infused indie rock, and the second one is mathy indie rock. Stuff you would find boring, to be sure.

this sparked my curiosity so i grabbed the album. good stuff :D

I never liked this compilation. It gets nowhere near Pretzel Logic, Katie Lied or Aja.
I suggest you try and find Pretzel Logic. Which is probably the best album of that year :)

I'm not sure what to call this, but I dig it. It's kind of a psychedelic acoustic downtempo ambient sort of sound...

One of my favorites this year.

Yeah, shame it's only an EP, it was fun while it lasted.

Based on my first listen it was pretty good.

It grows, too. "Pretty good" is all I thought on first listen. Don't mean to make promises, but I really enjoyed it. :D
