^ Very superb! Are you a fan of / have you listened to their "Drukqs" album? I'm a huge fan of it as well, but it never seems to get as much mention of the selected ambient works and such - not that they're not amazing, too!

I had actually listened to "Drukqs" first as I wanted his crazier works at the time. I'm actually going through his back catalogue right now as I'm now on a massive Aphex Twin kick.

Went to the record store today, bought:

The Neil Young is on Vinyl. All together under $20. I challenge any housewife to go bargain-hunting with me, I will win.

Bought from fleabay:

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4yq9rGhudR...20/Kreator.jpg
Both for £7.50 and OOP over here.
http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_UjRpW1RlbC...+the+sun+f.jpg
For £7.61. Never even been released over here and the cheapest I could find was over £30 online. Result.

Just in case you don't know it's DJ Shadow's Endtroducing. £2.61 and a nice slipcase edition too.

It's a bootleg I think as I can't find any official release and it has both the original composed soundtrack and songs used in the film.

Black Tusk - Taste The Sin
yummy sludge metal with a southern charm

Matta Gawa - Ba
i read a review of this album which basically said this is what Greg Ginn would sound like if he smoke more pot...which is funny as i've read "Get In The Van" by Henry Rollins and all he talks about is how much pot Greg smoked....this is a very interesting yet hard to swallow album of abstract guitar playing and "free" jazz style drumming

Empire! Empire! (I Was a Lonely Estate) - What It Takes to Move Forward

Man, this guy's vocals are a bit more grating than I anticipated. I would have probably loved this 8 years ago. Now? I don't know, we'll see. Some of the better parts of the vocals remind me of Blair Shehan from Knapsack and The Jealous Sound. The guitars do as well. I highly suggest that you guys who are enjoying this album check out Knapsack. Overall I do think it's well done and sounds comparable to 90s emo bands, maybe too much for a 2009 album. But if that's what you're looking for, it's a winner.

Flipper - Generic (1982)

I think it's about time I start listening to Flipper properly. Apparently yet another great San Francisco, post-punk era band.

flipper is awesome!

Eyehategod-Take As Needed For Pain
My second Eyehategod album and it's far better than the first one.

The Antlers-Hospice
Pretty average indie stuff, not too impressed so far.
