Hope you like it - but as with all albums, sometimes they are more impressive in the context of when they were released. I like It Was Written (his second) also, but I never paid attention after that. I'll be playing this in the next day or so as I happen to be on a hip-hop kick at the moment.

So far interesting. I'm not a rap fan particularly, but I'm going to abuse this album a few times and see if I like it. The one thing that I like about Nikki is her ability to sound so fierce not just the typical women rapper rubbish coming out from Lil' Kim and others.

Dag Nasty - Dag With Shawn Dag Nasty's 'Can I Say' is one of my favorite Dischord records....at least out of the stuff out of the mid to late 80s (Embrace, Rites Of Spring etc)....and this is basically that album but with the original lead singer Shawn Brown....it's obviously good....i think i should sit down and listen to the two back to back and go from there |

Melt-Banana - Cell-Scape (2003) I haven't heard this one before, except for the song 'Shield Your Eyes, a Beast in the Well of Your Hand', which was one of my favorites, ****ing great song. So, I figured, it's time to hear the whole album and it might turn out to be my favorite by them, so far. (And here I am, instead of going to sleep, I'm listening to Melt-Banana. I have my hours totally mixed up.)
