I saw this post before I saw your name and I was really confused...I could not remember referring to myself in the third person haha. What did you think of it?

Fredrik Thordendal's Special Defects - Sol Niger Within (1997) As I patiently wait for the new Solefald album to leak I decided to catch up on some albums I've had in my Downloads folder for awhile now. Fredrik Thordendal is the guitarist for the experimental metal group Meshuggah and this is his first solo album. It's set up in kind of a grindcore fashion in terms of song lengths with the longest one just being over 4 minutes. It features some impressive solo's and instrumentation and I'm excited to hear more from his solo work because he is an underrated guitarist. Nachtmystium - Addicts: Black Meddle Pt. II (2010) I heard that this is one of the closest similar albums to Sigh's 2001 masterpiece Imaginary Sonicscape so I decided to give it a try. Winterhorde - Underwatermoon (2010) I've also heard good things about this album, apparently being on par with Emperor's earlier work in regards to the fusion of black metal and symphonic metal. |
