Year of No Light - Ausserwelt (2010)

Meh, it was pretty much like a slightly heavier version of Pelican and Russian Circles in the instrumental department, but even after listening to it through headphones I cannot really recall any moments in clarity. I'm not sure if there were even vocals on this album that's how boring it was. It might get one more listen from me, but methinks it'll see the recycling bin soon.
have you heard MZ.412? if you like Blut Aus Nord...i think they would be up your alley

as for Year Of No Light....i found their two earlier releases to be much better

Nord (2006) is a great album, but Ausserwelt (2010) is not the follow up I was anticipating.

As for MZ.412 I will give them a try.

Nord has some really amazing moments

MZ.412 is basically all the scary stuff from Blut Aus Nord....a bit more noise than straight up black metal....but i think you'll see the influence....

An album from SATCHMO's thread that I didn't have, so thought it warranted a download.
I'm glad you went with Combustication. It's one of my favorite albums on the list, so far. DJ Logic completely redefines turntablism on this album. I hope you really enjoy it.

Yeah it really is, "Black Lake Nidstang" is worthy of comparison to any of the progressive rock tracks from the '60's and '70's.

It's great stuff ain't it. I haven't listened to it much, but only because I haven't really had much time to devote to it. I'll put finger to keyboard and type something up about it the old Elvis C thread sometime soon.

Lisa Gerrard & Marcello di Francisci - Departum

^ Haven't listened to it just yet, but I've had some of Gerrard's solo stuff on today to get me in the mood for it. I expect good things!

Steve Roach - The Magnificent Void

^ Frankly, the cover art there almost put me off completely. Looks kinda like the poster for some trashy sci-fi action starring Steven Segal or something. Glad I got it though, as it really is pretty remarkable, spacy, dark ambient stuff.

Super Furry Animals - Hey Venus!

^ Been listening to a lot of SFA for the first time in years lately, so I thought I'd dip into a bit more of their work.
