Man I just looked at your RYM page...your "recent" list looks like you raided my collection. :p: Except the ratings are a bit off. |

To be fair, your collection is fucking massive so coincidences are going to occur. I've just been looking for some good Post-Hardcore lately. But I like one Ladwagon record, so I thought I'd get a couple of Bad Astronauts. 3.5/5 is a pretty decent rating. Plus I might bump them up a bit after repeated listens. |
I agree, 3.5 is not bad at all. That's kind of my go-to rating when I like an album but I don't (yet?) love it and it's definitely better than average.
And yes there will definitely be coincidences, I was just surprised to see so many in a row that I know/like. My collection grew a bit overnight, I shifted many from my wishlist to digital ownership...maybe 100. |
Oh I grabbed a few things yesterday. First one is a re-download because I realized track one was all jacked up when I listened to it yesterday. The second one was on my wishlist forever, and after running across the name again this week I decided to grab it.

I've been trying to get some Post-Hardcore and a load of real Emo lately. I don't have a wish list, I just come across stuff. I use the charts a lot, those things are a God send. Just type in the Genre you want and a load of great albums come up. I'm hoping to get between 1,500 and 2,000 albums but I want to do it without forcing the issue and just getting stuff for gettings sake. |

Sun O))) has been with me for a while. I love everything they make. |

Yeah don't get stuff just for the sake of having a certain amount. I've never once in my life set a goal for # of albums I wanted to have, physically or digitally. |
Jesus, that's a lot. The last 12? Nine Inch Nails onwards?
That's quite odd. How come you use user lists as opposed to charts? I find the charts offer a general consensus, though music is the most subjective thing in the world. So some stuff that's rated low 3.00s is still a great listen. I set goals, something to work towards. But I don't try and force the issue with albums that I know will just sit there. |
