Zaireeka is, to me, a novelty that I will probably only listen to once in my life if that. I guess it just put the notion in my head that the albums before it would be just as ridiculous. All completely unfounded ideas, I just didn't know where to start after the most recent few. |

What I would describe as their early stuff is their first few albums. Those are noisier and more rock-ish. |

No problem, I'm glad a few people have shown an interest in the band. If you liked The Latter Rain (2007) then you definitely will enjoy their newest release Mantra, a top contender in my top 10 metal albums of 2010.

ill.gates - Autopirate
I'm still listening to it, and I'm really digging it so far. It's not my favorite album I've heard in the past year (or probably even the past month or so) but it's definitely solid and interesting. |

It's an album that I can listen to always. It has enough energy and hooks to make you interested on your first few listens. But, you can't drain it there as it has a lot going on underneath to keep you interested and make you come back to it. And it still sounds like it could be made today. That's quite an accomplishment for a basically straight up rock 'n 'roll album. That great/awesome.
