The Depreciation Guild - In Her Gentle Jaws

It's an interesting sound, especially with the use of 8-bit sounds, however they aren't overpowering or used ironically or tongue-in-cheek. They kind of follow the M83 philosophy of adding layers upon layers of fuzzy sound to the electronics to achieve something different from the shoegaze bands of the '90's. I can respect a band that is not afraid to see what didn't work back then, and tweak it to make it work now.

School of Seven Bells - Alpinisms

I'm not going to lie, I downloaded this solely for the album art.

Good thing the music is good as well. I mention this every time the band is brought up but...the Deheza sisters are damn hot. I still need to listen to their new one (which just came out a couple weeks ago), but Alpinisms is good. It alternates between genius songs that you want to listen to over and over again and songs that take some time to grow on you. It kind of dragged the album down a bit since the good songs are SO good, but now I enjoy the whole thing.

Just listened to this today after a long break from Of Montreal. When I first got into them, they were just about all I wanted to listen to so I got worn out on them a bit. Now I'm back to loving them again, just in time to listen to their new album.

Meat Beat Manifesto - Totally Together EP

New 4-track digital EP released yesterday, preceding next month's new LP. None of these tracks will appear on the LP.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

^^^ Haven't listened to Dirt in a long time. 'Would?', 'Rain When I Die' and 'Rooster' are amazing songs. It's a really lyrically-dark album.
