King Crimson - In the Court of the Crimson King I've heard it before and hated it, but a lot has changed since the last time I listened to it - I figured I may like it this time around. This and Dark Side of the Moon are the closest Progressive Rock albums I've come to liking, so we'll see... |
Have you heard Yes' Fragile? I think it's right up there with DSOTM and ITCOTCK
|
I've heard the Yes album with the green cover, didn't like.
Not sure if it was called Fragile though, don't think it was. I didn't like the Yes album with the green cover though (I'm too lazy to look up the name.) Quite enjoying this Crimson album, even though a while ago I hated it. |
I think you mean "Close to the Edge".
I like "Fragile" and "The Yes Album" more than "Close to the Edge" |

I think I'm more inclined to like Progressive Rock albums that don't drag on.
DSOTM isn't a favourite album, I don't particularly like it much. But it's 42 minutes long and is Floyd's best album. In The Court of the Crimson King is 43 minutes long. Them Yes albums have a nice running time as well, I may check them out again. I may enjoy them more than I did a few months ago. In The Court of the Crimson King is 3 tracks in, I hope Moonchild and the title track aren't gonna ruin it. Pretty good thus far. |
Okay, I caved and am currently listening to the new Interpol album on Spotify. So I'm sort of downloading that, except not.

Close To The Edge was the best of the epic style albums that Yes ever released. Hard to say what their best work was after they went to a traditional songwriting format.
