I went down to The Soundgarden in Baltimore yesterday, and purchased four albums:

Unfortunately due to my limited funds, I couldn't purchase any Acid Mothers, Throbbing Gristle, The Sonics, Refused, or Faust... Oh well, there's always next time!

Finally found an independent record shop in this country - Some great findings there. Bought these babies:

Ten Years After (1967)

The Aerosol Grey Machine (1969) - Van Der Graaf Generator

Cosmo's Factory (1970) - Creedance Clearwater Revival

Sunshine Day (Remastered Anthology) - Osibisa

Plus:
Rumours - Fleetwood Mac
Heritage - Pentangle

Is that your first Stereolab album?

^That's the Stereolab album I used to listen the most. Not sure if it's their best, though.

Their albums are all pretty good. A couple duds here and there, but for the most part they have had a solid career. I'd say my favorite is tied between Mars Audiac Quintet and Margarine Eclipse.

Nope, i've also got Emperor Tomato Ketchup and Mars Audiac Quintet, the former probably being the best of the bunch. Looking at their back catalogue i didn't realise just how many albums they've had, i've only just scratched the surface!

Well, if you haven't heard Margarine Eclipse I highly recommend that one next. All of their albums have a distinct personality, but they don't stray too far from the Stereolab sound. Margarine Eclipse has them expanding more in one album than any other time in their career.
