Self Inflicted Violence - A Perception of Matter and Energy

Saw that it was another band combining Shoegaze and Depressive Black Metal so I pretty much got it immediately.

C'mon, he basically rips off Ian Curtis' dancing and stuff. They're very Joy Division influenced.... But they're up beat.

EDIT TO SAY: Minus the absolute brilliant talent of Ian.

I can hear a slight influence to the music but the singer sounds nothing like Ian Curtis at all. And I wouldn't call doing the robot ripping off Ian Curtis' dancing.

A lot of people seem to think he's 'copying' Ian Curtis' style. I quite like The Drums, I think they have a few good Pop songs. But a happy Joy Division minus the brilliance is the only way I could really describe them.

David Sylvian - When Loud Weather Buffeted Naoshima

^ One 75 minute-long ambient piece made for an exhibition in...Naoshima! This one sounded too intriguing to ignore when I first heard about it a few months back. Many thanks to Noise for helping me find this.

Kettel - Through Friendly Waters

^ And some random IDM album I picked up a few minutes after. One of those random downloads you go for when you're browsing a particularly cool blog.
