I Would Set Myself On Fire For You- Believes In Patterns

I was listening to Circle Takes The Square, and I thought, I want to randomly download another album by a post-hardcore band, so I did.

Esbjörn Svensson Trio - Tuesday Wonderland (2006)

Norwegian group of some repute I am told. Oh... until pianist-leader Svensson died in a scuba diving accident 2 years ago. RIP. Just a lovely collection of compositions that stimulate a breadth of feeling whilst throwing regular curveballs which salvage it from total lounge mediocrity. At the risk of going 'chillout' I would also say this is perfect for evenings. Cheers to Bulldog for the bullblog from whence this came.

Nujabes was a one-off and I was gutted when i found out he was no longer around. Think I came around to him like many people - via Samurai Champloo. Can't help but wonder how much his cultural background (i.e. the Japanese hip-hop scene) would have influenced his unique approach. A bunch of his pieces only seem like hip-hop in the sense they make use of sampling - he's very jazzy

Holy crap! BIG weekend of buying /downloading for me this weekend... Got a little extra cash, so indulged upon my project to buy / re - listen to all my Alice in Chains favorites, plus finally get the reunion album, which, incidentally I thoroughly enjoyed, although I had my doubts / reservations... it quite amazed me with how good it was...

Son on the AIC side of things...

Bought: Black Turns to Blue
Dirt
Facelift

Downloaded: MTV Unplugged Live

Then it was over to explore my more mellow electronic side of my taste... namely, mr. moby, who has without my knowing produced two different versions of his most recent Wait for Me album...

Wait for Me - Ambient and Wait for Me - Remixes!

Should make for some good late night/ relaxing listening!

Then finally while surfing around on Saturday I stumbled upon the fact that Crowded House have released a new album! I was instantly excited by this prospect so I fired up my computer and got hold of that sucker asap... and it just became my new favorite album... Intriguer by Crowded House.

This Will Destroy You - Moving on the Edges of Things

This was a little too droney and ambienty that I had hoped for but Im hoping the upcoming full length will be better.
