Got this last night, started listening this morning. Quite good I'd say, more experimental than I expected.
Now lets add this to the worst album covers list. Is this 80s thrash/punk from Venice Beach?

Cool! Have you heard the others? I've yet to play this new one, might just start it now. From what I hear it's less heavy and more psychedelic/spacey perhaps than the previous material.

I will certainly try!
Oh, I guess I just happen to stumble into these recently too, Mogwai - Young Team Listening to this now. Certainly some good post-rock, I can see why they're one of bigger names of the genre. Rush - Hemispheres Picked it up on Anteater's word plus I'd been meaning to get "that one with 'The Trees'". Makeout Videotape - Makeout Videotape at Mercury Lounge 2009-09-27 I saw these guys some months ago opening for YSP!WSD! and they played a really enjoyable set. Didn't get a chance to pick up any of their recordings then and still looking for some. Surfy guitar/drums stuff in the vein of Wavves but better and less over-the-top lo-fi. To help fill out some missing albums/not complete albums for my DM collection The Dead Milkmen - Eat Your Paisley! The Dead Milkmen - Instant Club Hit (You'll Dance to Anything) The Dead Milkmen - Not Richard, but Dick The Dead Milkmen - Soul Rotation The Dead Milkmen - Metaphysical Graffiti The Plot to Blow Up the Eiffel Tower - Love in the Fascist Brothel Had a little bit by these guys for a while but thought it was about time for a full length. Genghis Tron - Dead Mountain Mouth Same with this band. I've always really liked what I've heard from the Laser Bitch EP as well as the bits and pieces I've heard of 'Cloak of Love' and DMM. Sleigh Bells - Treats I love it. Listened to it three times since I got it. Marcel Khalife - Best of Fairuz - Legend of the Best Suggestions from NumberNineDream. I haven't listened to the Khalife one yet but the Fairuz material is very good. Aztec Camera - High Land, Hard Rain First listen wasn't really enough to form an opinion but certainly nothing to scoff at. Belle & Sebastien - Tigermilk Putting them off for so long needed to be rectified. Chameleons - Script Of The Bridge The band was recommended to me by a guy I met at a Dinosaur Jr. show. Grandaddy - Sumday Wasn't overly impressed on the first listen Man Man - The Man in a Blue Turban with a Face The vocals are unique, that's all I got from it so far. Six Finger Satellite - The Pigeon Is The Most Popular Bird Some enjoyable Post-Punk/a bit Hardcore with synths. and some others, Six Finger Satellite - Severe Exposure The Monks - Black Monk Time Crossed Out - Discography Lou Reed - Transformer Andrew Jackson Jihad/The Gunshy Split Andrew Jackson Jihad/Apocalypse Meow Ladytron - Lights and Magic Ladytron - 604 The Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream Run-D.M.C. - Raising Hell Rockabye Baby! - Smashing Pumpkins/ The Cure NoMeansNo - Mama/Betrayal, Fear, Anger, Hatred The Dandy Warhols - Dandy's Rule, OK? |

You should probably comment in my Rush reviews thread once you check out Hemispheres. Great album. One thing that worries me...Siamese Dream? Please tell me this is just you re-downloading it after it went missing or something and not that you haven't listened to it before. Otherwise, get on it...now...
