I got three Jacob Borshard albums for free off his website. I love Ukulele pop/folk music.

Awesome, i must check it out when they release it. Yeah i'm trying to decide which album to download next, You Brought Us Here and Flaxen seem to be the next choices. They're a really great band, some of their songs remind me of Slowdive.

A few I really should have got hold of a long time ago;
Martha Wainwright - I Know You're Married But I've Got Feelings Too Rufus Wainwright - Release the Stars Loretta Lynn - Van Lear Rose That said, the Rufus Wainwright album's the one I'm confident is gonna be awesome. Looking forward to all three nonetheless. |

I can imagine I remember having a look at the tracklisting for the first time, seeing that title and thinking it looked a bit dodgy. I'm fine with painfully preachy lyrics so long as the music backing it up's good enough, eg Dylan's Slow Train Coming, Chris Hillman's solo album and so on. From what I've heard about this album already, I'm thinking that's gonna be the case here. Just working my way up to a first listen via some Tift Merrit and Townes Van Zandt at the minute...

Also... Townes Van Zandt - For the Sake Of the Song Just realised about five minutes ago that I'm in dire need of more TVZ albums, so this one's on the dee-low. |

Maps & Atlases - Perch Patchwork
Much less mathy than their 2 EPs but I'm enjoying it regardless, two listens so far. Swingin' Utters - Brand New Lungs Brand new 3-song 7". Nothing surprising, pretty much what you'd expect from them. Looking forward to the new album coming soon, and seeing them live in a few weeks.
