It was my introduction to the band and I was impressed enough to go back and look at some of their previous material. Something tells me that I'm going to be less than pleased with what I find though...

Anyhow here's my latest haul:

Soilwork - The Panic Broadcast (2010)

I finally found a leak for their newest album and I'm still undecided on what I think of it. Some parts are fuc*ing awesome and other parts sound like Avenged Sevenfold reject material. I might just need to get use to the clean(ish) vocals and I'll start to appreciate the album for what it truly is, but until then I'll leave it in the undecided category.

Kadenzza - The Second Renaissance (2007)

Some interesting Symphonic black metal that was far more symphonic than metal. Great background music but not something I'd actively listen to for long.

Satyricon - The Age of Nero (2008)

Holy sh*t! I wasn't expecting to be this blown away by this album. Definitely an album I slept on for far too long.

Got the album a few days back. It's not a bad album, actually one of my favourites by the band, but I really think Satyricon aren't abusing Frost's talents, as oppose to his work with 1349.

The Notorious B.I.G. - Ready to Die

The Notorious B.I.G. - Life After Death

Thought I'd get something other than metal for a change. Watched the movie based on his life, so I thought I might as well check him out.

Those are three fantastic pickups, I commend you highly for your choices!

And I finally got around to getting this album...

Tephra - A Modicum of Truth

This album was free via Last.fm so I figured why not. It's pretty decent Post-Metal, but I'd take Neurosis, Rosetta, and ISIS over this any day of the week, still you can't complain with free.

Agrypnie - 16[485] (2010)

This is an absolutely brilliant and chilling metal masterpiece. Words cannot describe how amazing this album is.

Pretty fun little album, I've listened to it twice now.
