Love that band and that album. They are so much fun, I'm also a sucker for male-female vocals.

Bought:

Depeche Mode-Black Celebration

Downloaded:

Anathema-We're Here Because We're Here

Loved the Anathema. First listen to them ever, downloaded somewhat on a whim. Amazing atmospheric rock. Mixed by Steven Wilson from Porcupine Tree and it's definitely audible. So good, will definitely be working my way back through their discography now.

Just listened to the "critically acclaimed" Merriweather Post Pavilion by Animal Collective.

Meh, it's alright and some of the melodies/production is pretty cool but what gives? Have of the songs barely have discernable beat, words, or even melody. Atmospherically a bit pleasing but I can't see this being considered the best album of 2009 by any stretch. Then again I'm not the biggest indie fan ever... I tend to prefer music with a steady rhythm, bassline, big chorus, etc.

Overall I appreciate them doing something different but for me it's like C to C+ album

How to Destroy Angels - How to Destroy Angels

Since it's free and all. Otherwise wasn't too interested in hearing it due to the chicky vocals.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

It gets better with each listen. I couldn't stand it at first.. then I got into it and then got into some of their older stuff as well. Give it time and it should be a B+ at least. (Although I don't really get the A B C way of grading, I use numbers.)

The Melvins - The Bride Screamed Murder (2010)

Not the biggest Melvins fan in the world but I figured it should be an entertaining CD none the less.
